Irrigation Service & Repair Specialist

Job Summary:

The Irrigation Service & Repair Specialist will be responsible for the service & repair of existing irrigation systems, as well as to maintain a working knowledge of the installation of new irrigation systems.

Essential Functions:

• Capable of performing landscape irrigation job functions, such as:
  • plan reading
  • system layout
  • irrigation system installation
• Ability to perform job functions such as valve assembly and manifold assembly
• Ability to operate landscape irrigation equipment including, but not limited to:
  • walk behind trencher
  • Ditch Witch RT 40 trencher
  • boring unit
  • backhoe
• Qualified in all specialty job functions such as:
  • controller installation
  • irrigation valve wiring
  • conventional irrigation controller programming
  • identifying underground utility color codes
• Working knowledge of two wire irrigation systems, including:
  • programming
  • ability to install low voltage lighting
• Perform irrigation system troubleshooting
• Perform irrigation diagnostics for system health
• Make recommendations for system renovation and enhancements
• Adhere to irrigation practices & standards

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in all phases of irrigation installation and irrigation service & repair
• Demonstrate familiarity with current technology utilized in the irrigation industry
• Highly motivated, team oriented, self-motivated, organized, strong attention to detail, and able to multi-task
• Demonstrate verbal & written communication skills
• Communicate in English
• Maintain a valid North Carolina driver’s license
